How to use this resource
- Open the file in a browser and print it, or save it as a PDF using your browser's print controls.
- Choose tasks that have a visible finish, such as revising a document, researching a role, or preparing questions.
- At the end of the week, replace unfinished tasks only after deciding whether they still matter.
A planner is a boundary, not a pressure tool
The point of a weekly plan is to turn a broad search into a small set of tasks you can actually inspect. A short list makes it easier to notice what you completed, what needs better information, and what can wait.
The file includes three starter rows because a plan with every possible task is often less useful than a plan with a few clear priorities. Duplicate rows only when you have the time and evidence to support the extra work.
Choose concrete work
- Too broad
- “Find a job” has no clear end point or record of what you learned.
- Concrete
- “Read the requirements for one role and list two relevant examples” produces a checkable result.
- Respectful follow-through
- Use employer instructions and your own boundaries instead of setting a follow-up task by guesswork.
A five-minute weekly reset
- Read the prior week's notes and remove tasks that are no longer relevant.
- Pick one application-material task, one research or outreach task, and one review task.
- Write when you will do each task and what evidence will show it is complete.
- Leave a little space for unexpected replies, interviews, or rest.
